OBCI is making structural repairs and exterior building improvements at the primary facility for the School of Art and Design, Jack Arends Hall, usually called the Art Building. These improvements include the replacement/resetting of cast stone steps at the north and south entrances, repointing of brick masonry, brick replacement, structural concrete repairs, flashing installation at concrete decks, and pedestrian traffic coatings at elevated balconies. Derek Baum is the Est/PM, Shawn Wells is the GS, and Wojciech Brzeski is the foreman. Additionally, OBCI is excited to start another project soon at NIU, including a complete sealant replacement at Grant and Stevenson Halls for CORE Construction.
