Since this is summer work, schedules are compressed, and the crews must perform the work to meet deadlines strategically. In this case, the architect, Studio GC, and owner, Maywood SD 89, requested additional repairs, putting further pressure on the crew to complete the work over the summer. In addition to the original scope that included façade and sheet metal repairs at Broadview, OBCI was awarded brick replacement and thru-wall flashing repairs at Stevenson MS in Melrose Park, stone resetting and sheet metal installation at Irving MS in Maywood, and brick repairs at Emerson ES in Maywood. Carlos Sanchez (Tuckpointers 52) is OBCI’s foreman for this fast-paced project, supported by General Superintendent Bobby Karlin and EST/PM Charlie Vins.
